The Guilds of Good Samaritan recently contributed $100,000 to The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation to support cardiology. President of the Guilds Sara Banks presented the check to Chief of Cardiology Services Larry M. Altschul, MD, and Executive Director of The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Kathy Dulanto. The December gift brought the 2009 total donations to $300,000.
The Guilds’ latest donation will facilitate the Medical Center in providing comprehensive care, and further modernize its state-of-the-art Division of Cardiology, adding new features, including proposing an open heart surgery program. Good Samaritan’s goal is to offer residents throughout Suffolk County access to this important specialty.
